PRODUCT  DESCRIPTION

Lead iodide is a bright yellow heavy powder or hexagonal flake like crystal with the molecular formula PbI ₂, odorless, and has a high melting and boiling point. At room temperature, it is a bright yellow odorless crystalline solid that turns orange and red upon heating. Its solubility in water increases with temperature.

PRODUCT  APPLICATION

Lead iodide is an important basic raw material for perovskite photovoltaic cells, and its chemical purity has a significant impact on the preparation quality and photoelectric conversion efficiency of subsequent cell thin film materials. Therefore, it should be strictly controlled during its preparation process.

Used in the pharmaceutical industry, photography industry, and bronze plating. Lead iodide, as a major direct transition wide bandgap P-type compound semiconductor, is considered an excellent optoelectronic material. Lead iodide is also one of the important raw materials for preparing perovskite solar cells.
